Women Veterans Recognition Day

This intentionally curated, invite-only gathering brings together women veteran leaders from across the Greater Phoenix area for a day centered on connection, leadership, reflection, and continued impact.

Designed for women who continue to lead, advocate, build, and serve beyond the uniform, this experience creates space to step back from daily responsibilities, reconnect with purpose, and recognize the legacy of the women who paved the way. It is also an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with fellow women veterans, military-connected leaders, and community partners who understand both the responsibility and the weight of leadership after service.

The program will include:

• A welcome from City of Surprise Mayor Kevin Sartor (U.S. Army Veteran)
• Keynote speaker: U.S. Army Veteran Jeanette Garcia (City of Avondale Councilwoman and Founder of Courage Unshaken: https://courageunshaken.com/). Sharing her journey of leadership, resilience, advocacy, and transforming adversity into community impact.
• A dynamic leadership panel featuring women leaders from military, business, advocacy, and community spaces – Moderated by Jessica Roza, Founder & Exec. Director of West Valley Women Veterans
• Small group leadership exchange and facilitated conversation

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a “Resilient Leader Reset”, featuring:

• Somatic grounding exercises with U.S. Navy Veteran Cassandra Johnson, Founder of CNJ Resource
• Chair Yoga with Vets & Pets Yoga, Founder & President Angie Polynin : https://www.vetsandpetsyoga.org/
