West Valley Women Veterans invites you to an exclusive in-person event designed for women service members and women veterans only. This workshop provides a safe and supportive space to share experiences, build meaningful connections, and access valuable resources. Whether you’re currently serving, transitioning to civilian life, or have been out of the military for years, this event is an opportunity to connect with like-minded women who understand your journey.

Featured Topic:

Navigating Veterans Benefits, Disability Claims, & Military Sexual Trauma (MST)

Women file for their veteran benefits at a significantly lower rate than their male counterparts, often missing out on the support and resources they’ve earned—this workshop is an opportunity to get informed and ensure you receive the benefits you deserve.

April is also Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and research shows that one in three women veterans has experienced Military Sexual Trauma (MST). MST refers to sexual assault or harassment that occurs during military service and can have long-term effects on mental and physical health.

Many veterans who have experienced MST may be eligible for VA healthcare, disability compensation, and additional resources—but navigating these benefits can be complex.

You do not need to have experienced sexual harassment or assault to attend this workshop—veteran benefits, disability claims, and any related questions will be addressed for all women veterans.

What to Expect:

✔ Presentation & Q&A Session with Female Veteran Benefits Counselors

✔ Guidance on MST-Related VA Claims & Resources

✔ Supportive Environment to Ask Questions & Share Experiences

✔ Light Refreshments Provided

Our guest speakers are VA Accredited Veteran Benefits Counselors from the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, trained to assist veterans in understanding and accessing their benefits.

You don’t have to go through this process alone—join us for an informative and empowering discussion.

We look forward to seeing you there!
