Sherri Smith has significantly enhanced veteran career opportunities in Arizona by educating employers and removing obstacles to veteran hiring. Through her leadership at the Arizona Society for Human Resource Management, she created sustainable pipelines of veteran employment, mitigating workforce challenges. Her collaboration with the WIOA agency on the Employment First initiative provided veterans with essential up-skilling and transition resources. Sherri’s strategic influence has strengthened Arizona’s workforce by highlighting the value of veteran talent and creating strategies to help them succeed.
